THE PAPIOL SPORTS CENTER
-El Papiol
The refurbishment of the Sport area of the Papiol transforms the boundaries between three existing facilities (football field, sports hall and swimming pools) in a vertebral axis that combines them. This layout organises and distributes, and translates into a pedestrian promenade that crosses the sports area from East to West. The project was built from 2001 until 2009 in a process of replacing the old facility. The project was divided into 4 phases: F1 (changing rooms football field), F2 (soccer field and access East), F3 (locker rooms pools, multipurpose rooms and bar), F4 (swimming pools, west access and pergola of thermal plates). Constructive systems have been developed for the distribution of the changing rooms and for the roof of the pools.
