LA CLOTA SPORTS CENTER-
The project proposes:
Improve connectivity between the equipment and the surrounding neighborhoods by studying the urban fabric beyond the scope of the project, adapting a new wide access by modifying the existing topography.
Conceive an equipped park understood as a global project in which the programmatic specificities build a unitary project, based on the topographic adaptation of the architectural and landscape project (sustainable garden with Mediterranean vegetation).
Optimize equipment efficiency based on:
- Redefinition of boundaries (the fence is mostly surrounded by vegetation).
- The organization of the program allowing the unique or divided management of the swimming pools and the hockey rink, and relocating the children's pool, and building a bar with services associated with the picnic.
- The partial modification of the height of the cover to adapt it to the normative requirements.
- The incorporation of passive control systems that drastically reduce energy demand.
- Respect the architectural identity of the project maintaining the existing building almost in its entirety, and enhancing its spatial qualities and integration into the environment.
- Provide for a possible second phase in which the pool would be covered allowing the equipment to operate throughout the year, providing a great social benefit for the neighborhoods of the context.
